Cream blush is the go-to makeup item for Summer 2021, and the new Melt cream blushes do not disappoint! With a range of colors that will fit a variety of skin tones, Melt’s cream blushes will give you a lit-from-within glow, making you summer-ready in no time! Plus, they are multi-use. You can use them on cheeks, lips, and eyes! Read on for a review and swatches.
Cost + Packaging of the Melt Cream Blushes

Melt released 8 cream blushes—4 with a pearl finish, and 4 featuring a natural finish. Some of these colors, such as Golden Hour, Polished, Sandy Cheeks, and Daydreamer, are brand new. The other colors—Lynx, Sundown, Honey Thief, and Cali Dream—are cream formulas of their original powder blushes. Each compact contains 4.5 grams / 0.14oz of product for $22. I think this is quite a reasonable price point for the amount of product you get.
The sleek packaging features a black exterior, with the Melt logo on the front. Each compact contains a mirror. This makes the Melt cream blushes quite travel-friendly. I was able to visit my family (for the first time in almost 2 years!), and the blush in Honey Thief was the only blush I brought with me. It held up well, and I was able to use the mirror when applying much of the rest of my makeup on the trip.
Texture + Application

The Melt cream blushes are quite soft and emollient. The product picks up well on fingers, a blush brush, or even with a beauty blender. Plus, it blends out beautifully! I appreciate the pigmentation of the product. Each blush I tried has enough pigment to allow me to lay down an initial wash of color. Then, you can build up the color to your desired level of intensity.
The blush does not disrupt foundation or concealer underneath, and products layer well over the blush, as well. Since this is a cream product, I would suggest applying it before any powder products. Additionally, I did find that the Melt cream blush will sweat a bit in the container if it is left in high heat. However, while it may sweat, it doesn’t melt in the heat. (Pun intended!)
Wear Time
The Melt cream blushes last all day on me. I also appreciate that I can get away without powdering, if I’m creating a glowy makeup look. If you want a more subdued glow, you can always powder. For reference, I do have oily skin. Check out my YouTube video above to see how these apply and wear.
Swatches of the Melt Cream Blushes

I purchased three of the eight colors.
- Honey Thief: Peach, with a natural finish
- Golden Hour: Bright coral cream with golden pearl
- Lynx: Sandy gold (great for a sun-kissed look!)
