Packaging
The sleek green packaging is made of recycled glass. The design reminds me of a fancy, relaxing spa, and I love how it looks on my counter. The dropper picks up just the right amount of product for each application. A+ for aesthetics and ease of use!
Texture and Application
The clear liquid in the Edelweiss Daily Serum Concentrate is lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin. It is a true serum concentrate consistency. Not watery, and very easy to spread over the skin. The serum is not sticky, either. And my skin looks and feels very hydrated after application.
All products in The Body Shop’s Edelweiss skincare range are non-comedogenic, meaning they don’t clog pores. I personally haven’t noticed any breakouts after using this serum, which I appreciate. I also feel that my skin looks more even toned after using it.
When to Apply Serum
When applying skincare, always apply products from thinnest to thickest. I use the Edelweiss Daily Serum Concentrate twice a day, applying it right after my toner. In the morning, I then finish with moisturizer and sunscreen. In the evening, I use exfoliating products, such as BHAs or AHAs, prior to the serum, and then finish with moisturizer and vaseline.
Should You Purchase the Edelweiss Skincare Line?
If you don’t yet have a serum in your routine, definitely check out the Edelweiss Daily Serum Concentrate! It smooths and plumps the skin, doesn’t irritate sensistive skin, and helps protect against pollution, dullness, and premature skin aging.
This serum can be used by all skin types. I also think this would be amazing if your skin can’t tolerate daily retinol use. Unlike retinoids, which can be quite drying, I have not found the Edelweiss Daily Serum Concentrate to dry out my skin. Though, it does feel more balanced and less oily than normal. And if the antioxidant in this serum is 43% more powerful than retinol, why not give it a try?!
