Animal prints are a classic pattern in any wardrobe. So, when I saw this animal print skirt from Reformation, I knew I needed it in my closet! Below are some styling tips, and a fit review of this Reformation midi skirt.
Reformation Animal Print Skirt
I love browsing Reformation’s site. They always have such beautiful styles, and I greatly appreciate their commitment to sustainability. However, this Bea skirt was my first purchase from the brand, and I am very impressed. My order arrived quickly, and the packaging held up to the sustainability standards of the brand. It was a thin package made of recyclable material, with no wasted space or extra packaging, which I love.
Sizing and Fit
I purchased a size 2 Petite, which is my normal size in petite bottoms. The skirt fits true to size, and was the perfect length at 29.5” long. The waist is 13” across, fitted, and sits at my natural waist line. The midi length features a relaxed sweep at the bottom, and the back of the skirt features a center zipper that is easy to zip.
Fabric and Care
The fabric on this animal print skirt is unlined, but opaque. When I tucked in my top, I did find that I had to smooth out my shirt quite a bit. Otherwise, you can see the outline of the shirt through the skirt. For that reason, a bodysuit would probably pair really well with this! The fabric is lightweight, though, and perfect for a summer day.
The skirt is dry clean only. When it arrived, there were some wrinkles in the fabric. I used my steamer, and it got all the wrinkles out quickly. As a bonus, the skirt doesn’t wrinkle easily from normal wear. I haven’t had to steam it again since that first time.
Styling the Reformation Bae Animal Print Skirt
The pattern on this animal print skirt features black and deep tan colors, so I’ve chosen to wear a black tank (old, similar here) and my favorite Nine West sandals. I’ve brought in the tan color with accents of a sun hat and my everyday hoop earrings (super affordable!). I’ve also added a bit of sparkle with a tennis bracelet.
Like I mentioned above, a bodysuit such as this would also work beautifully. You could also do a monochrome look with a brown or tan tank and tan heels or espadrilles. And finally, dress it down with a black or tan tee and sneakers.
